INCIDENT/DISASTER COMMAND
Track Description:
Leadership during a disaster is perhaps the most important and most challenging
component of any operation. History has shown that without a comprehensive
Incident Management System in place, it is a challenge for the other management
functions to effectively complete their objectives. This 40 hour Disaster
Command Program shows community leaders, public service officials and
other potential incident commanders the differences between typical command
operations and disaster command operations. It also provides them the
opportunity to fully implement and perform within each command function.
Course Objectives:
- Disaster response agency roles and responsibilities
- Implementation of on-site Incident Management System
- Development and execution of Incident Action Plans
- Multi-Agency integration within live exercise
